Hi, welcome! Nice little tubs there, although bigger, flatter ones make it easier to retrieve the spice afterwards.

Regarding 'teks', that's all well and good with having a recipe to follow, but keeping track of endless rehashes of the same overall techniques getting renamed by redditors and the like becomes ridiculous. More fundamentally important, and empowering for that matter, is getting to grips with understanding the essential principles of extracting, and how they are put into practice. I'm all for experimentation once that basis has been taken into account, but there's no need to reinvent the wheel when starting from absolute scratch.

Have a look through the forum and wiki, all of the essential info should be here. Once you've got a clearer picture we'll happily help you tie up any loose ends.

The freezer should work just fine, but what is its temperature range in sensible units? :D -22ᵒC will do the job nicely.

When picking a nice freeze precipitation container, it is important that it is not only the type of glass that can handle extreme temperatures but also of the type that can handle the relatively fast changes between those temperatures. Usually the fluctuations in temperature is what gets glass cracked the fastest.

So for myself I choose glass containers with a lid like yours that could be used in the freezer up to being used in the microwave. Usually those containers are made of so called 'borosilicate glass'. And even though you have several classes in that 'borosilicate glass' category, for the food stuff it seems that they only display that it's 'borosilicate glass' (like Pyrex does). I'm pretty happy with my 'borosilicate glass' containers of many different sizes, the bigger ones are handy for DMT, the smaller ones 350-500ml are handy for my CBD2THC tek experiments.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

no the buddy of mine is not trying to reinvent no wheel. i was just stating expirementing with the tek over and over till it’s fullproof for him and he has it down to a T, he can cross his Ts and dot his i’s with his eyes closed. is what i’m saying. he has everything for nomans tek or lazy man tek. he understands practice makes progress. he’s going to be doing 50 g pulls with his first 500g of MHRB and dial in in one tek, ive been told to tell him by someone in here that nomans tek is a good choice to concour. (that’s another reason he choose the 10 pack of dishes

and it’s -7.6f to 6.8f. which is -22c to -14c. what do you all think noman is a good starting point(tek). he wants to go with a STB tek. shortest he can find is 2” but it’s 4pcs for the same price giving they are wider and longer. mmmmmm(scratches head). he got a can of zippo fluid did a evap test past with flying colors yesterday. was going to try that for the first go.

Something that I don't see mentioned in freeze precip container choice: Try to get one with the logo on the outside, or no logo, unlike "PYREX", as the raised logo on the inside makes for trickier scraping at the end of the process.
