Migrated topic.

Hello fellow chemist, I was doing my first extraction, and followed Cybs' ATB Salt tek.
When I first extracted the naphtha and put them in freezer, it turns to a jelly like stuff the next day, I though I was not succesful, so I put them back to heat, did mini A/B, Now I'm doing my second try.

The question is, The naphtha I pull from the mixture is very clear, but is yellow. Unlike what cybs' claimed to be milky, and the mixture I have seems to have a fat layer between naphtha and my base solution, Images to follow

Looks like emulsions and poor separation.

My naptha is often colored yellow during pulls. you can clean it up with some acid and base time, can be found in the wiki in one of the extraction teks.

Will it do if I suck out the emulsion layer by syringe?
Also, can you tell me how long should i leave naphtha base solution mixture before each pull.

Many thanks!
