Hi all,

This week I read this news: US anti-piracy body targets foreign website owners for extradition

What this means is that they will ask for extradition of people who have 'pirated' media on their websites and an USA tld (Top Level domain) like .com, even if they only link to copyrighted material! The reasoning why they think they can do this is intriguing but you can read more about that in the article.

However, if this comes true then it's only the beginning for further legislation for 'law breaking websites' using the .com tld. Of course we do not break laws on the DMT-Nexus but to prevent the DMT-Nexus from ever coming near such a thing we will move to the .ME TLD as a preventive measure.

On this moment the site is already working that TLD: www.dmt-nexus.me

Tomorrow I will do a final check and then we will move permanently to the .me TLD. After moving the site I will redirect the current .com site to the new one with a permanent move code. After some time this redirect service will be stopped and I will only make a nice landing page on the .com where we will state why we moved to the new TLD.

p.s. you can currently still get SSL errors on the .me site due to the DNS that needs to be updated, that can take up to an day before it rolled around the earth...

Kind regards,

While the DNS records are being updated it can happen that people get the dreaded security error. This has to do with the SSL certificates for both the .com and the .me TLD.

It should be gone by tomorrow.

On this moment I have put all the .com domains on full redirect to the .me domains.

It should all work correct now. The only thing might be that you have to login again for the .me domain. If anyone has any problem then please let me know.

Kind regards,
