Interesting research paper trying to explain hyperspace

Migrated topic.
Thanks for posting the link. Although I must say that I LOLed at the kind of papers being written at UCSC.
The author has clearly no experience with DMT, and is suggesting rather childishly that the entities being encountered be used as a "computational device" so to speak, to perform complex mathematical functions so that scientists can verify their existence.

Even if these entities are present in an "alternate objective reality", is it even possible that they will be able to perform math. How many cultures on earth can perform factorizations of large prime numbers? And how can we assume that the traveler will be able to telepathically or through some other means convey a concept which is extremely biased towards our culture and our thought patterns.

And as for his "inconsistent subjective interpretation experiment", his claim that test subjects who were unfamiliar with DMT's effects reporting similar experiences would validate the existence of a seperate realm is invalid since there exists a lot of proof that setting plays a major part in the DMT experience. Commonly reported experiences of aliens probing the subjects during Strassman's experiments can be attributed to the clinical settings under which their trip take place. Ask trippers to take DMT under familiar and loving settings, and THEN they will see magic flowing out of each individual.

Look,
they're going to laugh at any of you who demand some kind of "proof" from them.

All you gotta do is blaze it, press your palms, and look up!

That Paper said:
Though the DMT experience lasts approximately 20 minutes, only about 5 of
those minutes occur behind the veil and within the alternate reality. It is in this
alternate reality that most subjects report contact with the DMT entities and
therefore it is during this 5 minute window when communication with the DMT
beings can occur. This is the point of the subjective experience where objective
analysis must take place in order to verify or falsify the three interpretations
presented
...

HAHAHAHAHAHA...ROFL...

THAT is hysterical...verify or falsify?!? hehehe

The paper was interesting. I agree though, it seems rather arrogant to travel to hyperspace, meet the inhabitants and then try to make them prove their existence.

"Oh it's proof you want eh?"
*tears universe apart*
"Is that proof enough?"

Swim has yet to meet DMT entities; he knows that if they are anything like a certain sages entities insolence will not be tolerated.

Two things:

Man, if hyperspace was officially recognized as a possible alternate reality, that would (ideally mean) some big steps in the right direction, as far as DMT's social status is concerned. Woot!

On the other hand, attempts to scientifically prove the existence of hyperspace as an objective reality could be REALLY FUNNY to keep track of.

Hi blueskine,

Yeah, I read this paper in its entirety last December. I would love to try some of these ideas with others in a mini- or wave-SHE sometime.

I started trying a couple experiments on my own in December but it is so frakking hard. My main one was to use a 6-digit number that would be easy to remember in hyperspace (he he) and ask the entities to factor it into two primes. Ensuring that I did not know the answer before hand. Seems to me if I could impart the problem, then return and retrieve this answer this would indicate some reality to hyperspace or (more probable) the idea that my mathematical facilities are radically enhanced in hyperspce. The problem taken from the study was to ask the entities to factor the number 122333 into two primes.

Perhaps this would be more do-able for a more experienced or shaman-like psychonaut. But, for me it was crazy-difficult. Even being able to remember the intention to ask the entities to solve a math problem to which I did not know the answer was difficult to remember once I was in the breakthrough space. Also, my desire was to literally speak the problem to them. This is also borderline-impossible for me. My hyperspace communications take place via telepathy and body language.

Well, the trip finally came where I found myself in a fantastic, crazy, playful breakthrough space and remembered this wacky intention of mine. So, I tried to get the entities attention and started "telepathically" trying to give them the problem. That did not work, so I mustered a tremendous act of will and gained partial contact with my physical body. I was able to speak out loud in hyperspce ("1 . . . 2 . . 2 . .3 . 3. 3" ). This was confirmed by Nemo Amicus ("Oh and about two minutes in you started speaking some numbers out loud!" ).

Breakthrough spaces are severely, fundamentally and inherently synesthetic for me. As soon as I started speaking numbers out loud the entities started jumping back into rectangle alcoves set into the "walls." As they jumped into the rectangular alcoves, the shapes of the spaces changed to the shape of the number I had just spoken. The "empty" spaces within the "number nooks" set in the wall instantly filled with self-transforming, spinning digits - 1's, 2's and 3's.

This factor, other astonishing things being witnessed and my rather extreme and severe state of intoxication ended the experiment right here. I lost my intention via amazement and delight and was unable to call out, "Please factor into two primes!"

As mentioned, I believe a more experienced journeyer or shaman-type person might be able to pull these experiements off, as described in this paper. I would be surprised if the results were positive, but I would still love to see the experiments (or something similar) completed.

Peace & Love,
Pandora

I like the experiment of having twins doing DMT at the same time to see if they can contact eachother behind the veil.

Hey pandora, there was a guy in the spirit molecule interviews who said that they pulled the prime-number experiment off and that the entities were able to give the participants the prime-answers (and reportedly, in this case, it wasnt a matter of the test subjects not knowing...the calculations were supposedly b eyond human abilities). Anyways, dunno if it's true or not, a lot of people like to bend their "facts" to fit reality rather than actually integrating...but it would be awesome if we could replicate this at least once and hopefully more.

this type of experiment is absolutely fascinating to me, even with the obvious limitations. I wonder how this could work beyond the realm of mathematics, what kind of questions that would look like and if humans would be capable of processing the answers. It's a very strange thing, and yet very familiar, for me to feel my mind focusing on the possibilities of this sort of thing.

Heres my two bits.....

A man was dying of cancer, had 1 month to live and was researching a new potential cancer cure that hadn't been tested. The scientists behind it believed strongly it was cure and despite no clinical trial were already drawing the conclusion that it cured cancer. The man dying started believing in this drug strongly and wanted the hospital to provide him with it and the hospital stressed it had not been tested on humans thus far, but he believe it would be the answer. He took the drug and within 7 days his cancer was clearing up. With in a month he was completely cured. 3 months later the research facility released a paper stating that they were wrong and that this new drug had no hope and actually had no association with curing cancer. The man ended up reading it and within a week his cancer re-developped and he was dead a month later. - True story

It was told to me a while ago So I don't remember every detail, if anyone is interested I will try and find the actually article.

MORALE

I believe in parralel dimensions and other dimensions with aliens and entities. I have personal experience thought very brief of these other places But the story above demonstrates that whether it is real or not, it is real to the human brain and anything after that doesnt matter. The western perception can always find soemthing wrong with the spiritual perception and the spiritual perception can always find something wrong with the modern perception. Western science is limitted by the science of one perception
