is freebase dmt soluble in mek?

Does anyone know if freebase deems is soluble in MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone)?

And has anyone ever tried using MEK to do a recrystalization?

I was thing of using warm /hot mek and adding it to some yellow spice and am curious if it would act the same way as a naptha re-x,like the teks where peeps use warm naptha,hexane,or heptane to dissolve the yellowish spice where the yellow oil goes to the bottom and the clean naptha/hexane is decanted and evapped.Just curious as Im out of Naptha but have some acetone and MEK and nitromethane lol.(the nitro has lubricants and is diluted so it would need distilling)but Id rather not blow up anything so I'll leave the nitro alone lol.But yea Im just curious if mek has ever been used with freebase spice.

Not sure but it would be worth a shot. Evap some first to see if there is any residue and then put a measured amount of spice in a small glass vessel with just enough hot hot mek to dissolve it and experiment. Cool it down normally to form crystals or see if a freeze precipt works. Worst case swiy could evap it all off and be left with the same spice.

SWIM's never worked with it, but he believes its functionality with DMT is almost identical to that of acetone.

well I tested a sample t see if it would be soluble in mek and it was but not untill it warmed up,it stayed solid untill heat was added then turned into a yellow oil,where then I attempted a water wash woth just reg dh20 to see if it would take away any yellow.It did not.so i am mstille left with a yellow mek liquid,but i didnt use but a small amount of deemd /just enough o see if it would dissolve really.Ive learned a lil bit and its a great learning experience,the yellow did not settle on the bottom as naptha or heptane would instead it just turned all yellow.
