Is it true I can turn sodium bicarbonate(baking soda) into sodium carbonate

Simply by heating it stove top or oven around 200 degrees? I'm trying to do "The Tao of Rue Extraction" (The Tao of Rue Extraction - DMT-Nexus Wiki) and I have everything on the list but the last base step and I obviously dunno if I can use Lye for step 11.

Any idea if this is true? I've been doing some research seems legit enough... just heat with no water in it, allowing water vapour to come out?
