Is Kleen-Out Drain Opener ok to use?

Hello fellow Nauts. My soul is in need of a reset! Its been a couple years and I hear the calling again!

However all I could find is Kleen-Out Drain Opener 100% lye. The msds says sulfuric acid and water as ingredients.

Maybe Im to high but is ligh and sulfuric acid the same thing or should i return it and look elsewhere?

Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) is an acid and lye (NaOH) is a base.

So, if it's 100% lye, it can not have sulfuric acid.

Where is the problem ? Prolly not the right MSDS.

Only use 100 percent NAOH [lye ! for extractions or weaker food safe substitutes ..
The other crap found in many drain cleaners is un healthy!

'Ligh'(NaOH) and sulfuric acid(H2SO4) are certainly not the same thing. Sodium hydroxide(ligh) can be got on the 'net cheaply, and has a lot of legitimate uses. I may be wrong, but your post seems to reflect a rather severe ignorance of the extraction process. You may want to do a little more research.

Also, as a favor to all fellow nexians, please refrain from mentioning product brands as much as possible. What happens is they get a reputation for being 'drug ingredients' and they get pulled from shelves. If you can't (or otherwise refuse to) get pure NaOH online then an msds lookup is your best friend.

When you spell "lye" as "ligh", you're probably high.
