Ingredients

1. Syrian rue seeds (Peganum harmala):
-Dose: 3–5 grams

2. Root Bark (Mimosa hostilis)
- Dose: 5–10 grams of powdered bark

3. Water: 1–2 liters.

4. Lemon juice

Tools:
Pot, strainer, cloth/filter, wooden spoon, heat source.

Step 1: Prepare Syrian Rue Seed Tea

1. Crush seeds:
Grind 3–5g of dried Syrain rue seeds with a mortar and pestle or stone.

2. Simmer:
- Add crushed seeds to 500ml water (add 1 tbsp lemon juice)
- Simmer on low heat for 30–60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Avoid boiling vigorously

3. Strain:
Pour liquid through a cloth/filter to remove seed debris. Retain the liquid (bitter, reddish-brown tea).

Step 2: Prepare Root Bark Decoction

1. Shred bark:
Chop or pound 5–10g of dried root bark into fine pieces.

2. Acid soak:
Soak bark in 500ml water acidified with 2 tbsp lemon juice for 1 hour

3. Boil:
- Transfer bark and liquid to a pot. Add 500ml fresh water.
- Simmer gently for 2–3 hours, replenishing water as needed to prevent drying. Stir occasionally.

4. Strain:
Filter liquid through cloth to remove bark fibers. Retain the dark, viscous tea.

Step 3: Combine and Dose

1. Mix teas:
Combine Syrian rue liquid and root bark liquid. Stir thoroughly.

2. Final volume:
Reduce combined brew to ~100–200ml for a single dose

I havent used this method, wondering if someone can verify that its a good recipe

I also a begginner in the art of brewing Ayahuasca-analog teas. But I recently made a mimosa brew very similar to the recipe you're describing, and everything went perfectly. Here's some considerations you may find usefull:

About the syrian rue: making a tea it's not necessary, you can ground the seeds and wash it all down with a cup of water or lemon juice. But by far the most effective method I found was to put the grounded seeds into gel caps, in that way 1g~2g it's enough.

That way you take the gel caps first and then 25 minutes later you take the mimosa brew. In my experience using gel caps I found out that two 00 sized gel caps holds 1g of grounded syrian rue and it was enough to provide a strong trip.

About the mimosa: I highly recommend you test for potency before you take a "full dose". Based on my own personal internet research the finner your root bark and the longer you simmer the strongest your tea will be. As nobody is making these recipes using lab equipments to properly control the coarseness of the plant material, the temperatures during the brew, the PH of the water, and many other factors, the doses recommendations present in these recipes are to be approached with caution.

I used this recipe as a base: Ayahuasca brew

I used 10g of root bark for dose and my plan was to make 4 doses (40g of MHRB in total). My bark was not powdered, only shredded by hand. I simmered my mimosa for 8~9 hours, in a very gentle simmer (almost no bubbles visible) then I filter it, applied the egg white TEK and reduced the final tea to 200ml, 4 doses of 50ml each.

Based on my inexperience with the brew process, the fact my bark was not powdered or properly processed, and that used the egg white TEK (that suposelly reduces potency), I thought that my brew would not come out too strong. I was wrong.

1g syrian rue in gel caps + about 20ml of the mimosa brew - not even half of the standard dose described on the recipe - was enough for a strong experience that last me about 3 hours. I have taken traditional Ayahuasca dozens of times, and this mimosa trip it's on my top 3 in terms of intensity.

I'm also a beginner (4 times so far) and agree with @sutekh_77 . In my case, I boiled 30g MHRB in an acidic environment (with vinegar). After an hour, I filtered the liquid and boiled again the bark. I did this three times and then combined the liquid, applied egg tek and reduced to 300ml. I'm just mentioning this because it was relatively fast to do, about 4 hours, and seems to be quite potent. So I also concur with trying a small dose first to assess potency.

If you are new to ayahuasca in general, I also recommend taking a decent dose of harmalas first, with no DMT-containing plant, to familiarize yourself with some aspects of the experience in a less chaotic way.

Just adding this because I realized it may not be clear: those 30g mimosa were intended to have many doses available, so far the maximum dose I've taken from that is 2g. I agree with Jamie about 10g mimosa sounding potentially overwhelming.
