Is This Mimosa Hostilis?

Migrated topic.

Sublime

Intraterrestrial
First, I want to introduce myself. My name is Nic, new here to the forums, but have been fascinated with DMT for a long time. Now that I have made a step to actually pursue extracting it I hope to experience it soon.

So, I wish identifying it was easy, but pictures and descriptions can be vague and since there are so many species, I want to be sure I have found the right one. This tree is at the bottom of my driveway on the side of a busy road. I am 80% sure this could be the one, but my doubts are from the appearance of the bark, as it doesn't have the red, purple or dark brown quality that I usually see. Included below is a picture of the tree trunk, the leaves, a picture of a small branch broken open, and the seeds. Thanks for your help!

Im not sure, I think not, the seeds seem different (But im no expert, maybe other people can help better)

other information you should give is around what area of the world you are.. also if there are any flowers those are very good for identification

btw, usually its not the bark used but the ROOT bark..

(in any case, even if its not mimosa, it could have dmt, who knows, but could also have unwanted alkaloids..)

I would recomend just finding an internet source to buy from, but its tricky, some of the bark you can buy online doesen't have much DMT at all. Not to count as said, some plants contain chemicals you really don't want to eat, chemicals that can cause brain damage and illness.

Well, I live in Southern California, I'm not sure if mimosa hostilis is found in this area or not, I haven't been able to confirm that. I don't know if the tree has flowers, but there are some dried up dead moss like things that are on the tree, perhaps dead flowers. There are also a lot of pods, where I got the seeds. So how deep would the root bark be within the tree? Under the bark of the trunk is pure white, so I'm not sure, maybe I should cut deeper to find a sample? Id rather not purchase online if I have the tools to extract it, and a large tree to use for future extractions.
