Well, it certainly can be.

If by 'crack pipe' you mean that glass tube with the metal bits at one end, you would need to load the DMT onto the steel wool pad behind the front screen (assuming it's easily removable) so that no direct flame gets to touch it. Burnt DMT is horrible!

I've seen good reports for the Yocan Orbit, so it would seem best to carry on using that. Maybe even try a 15mg dose first of all, just in case it works better than expected!

Well - vapours, I hope! You'd want a reasonably dense vapour cloud to start with, and then control your rate of inhalation so that the cold air drawn into the device can heat up sufficiently to vaporise the rest of the dose without cooling the heating element too much. Think about how hard you inhaled before - if it was more like a hard pull on a fat joint you'd probably want to go for a longer, slower inhale. There's a limit to the rate at which any device can heat air effectively.

Was this with the acetate (vinegar solution), or did you use freeze-precipitated freebase? I'd have to guess the latter as you've weighed it out.

It would only be the fumarate if you've added fumaric acid solution to the naphtha, which I don't recall having seen you mention before. The mention of fumarate in the freebase conversion method was purely incidental.

If it's a leftover q21q21 pull that you've evaporated after freeze precipitation was complete, it will still be freebase DMT, although there's a notable possibility that it may contain a higher proportion of 2-MTHBC (2-methyl tetrahydro-β-carboline).

This latter substance is closely related to DMT, but very little is actually known about its effects. We have a few threads about it, and improving the information on it is one of my ongoing projects. Suffice to say, there is one report of an…anomalous experience where someone smoalked the residue after evaporating down left over, post-precipitation naphtha exactly as you have. Just as a word of caution.

One more thing:
did you do an evaporation test on your naphtha, straight from the bottle, before use? This would be to ensure that it evaporates cleanly without leaving a greasy residue.

If there's a greasy (as opposed to, say, sticky) residue after freezing the evaporation residue, but you didn't do the evap test, it does rather suggest the naphtha is at fault. The product can still be cleaned up with a mini A/B, using a clean batch of naphtha, if this should be the case.

Even if you did use clean naphtha, you might want to clean up the greasy stuff anyhow. Freeze precipitating from a smaller volume of naphtha may help you to get a few more nice crystals, and possibly would leave some of the 2-MTHBC behind should there be any.
