Kefir je tatko (Kefir is the boss)

Most of you know about Oilahuasca theory. I tried couple of times to activate estragol from Tagetes lucida and basil, tried various herbs reported to be psychoactive like Salvia glutinosa, Acorus calamus, Tagetes erecta etc. Some time passed and I gave up but recently I started brewing kefir and on kefir subreddit in wiki there was some article mentioning that two of herbs (Panax quinquefolius; Angelica siennas - btw Angelica gigas seems that can be used as maoi) when fermented in water kefir can become slightly psychoactive.

"I discovered if an amount of either dry Korean Ginseng [Panax quinquefolius], or dry Chinese Angelica root or Dong Quai [Angelica siennas] is added to strained water kefir [SKG have been removed] and brewed for 48 hours in a secondary fermentation, the beverage incurs noticeable psychoactive activity. The altered state of mind occurs very shortly after drinking an amount of the brew, and it lasts for only a short time [short half life]."

"Where acetyl groups are bound to certain other organic molecules through fermentation, they impart an increased ability to cross the blood-brain barrier which could be the case here."

This gave me Idea to try it with my milk kefir. But then I forgot about it until i discovered that Salvinorin A is acetylated version of Salvinorin B. Oh fuck I have a little bit of S. glutinosa I'm going to try that one also 😂

Anyway that gave me idea and I asked Chat GPT for help because I know shit about organic chemistry. He said that indeed acetic acid bacteria could theoretically acetylate Salvinorin B to A. He also said that there is possiblity to acetylate other terpenoids and alkylbenzenes (estragole, eugenol right?) and that would give them increased potency and ability to cross blood brain barrier as well as maybe prolonged effects.

Time for experimentation. Now its a bit cold so my 3 day old kefir although separated whey from curds still didn't have really strong smell or acidity. In regular 720ml jar I put 5 Tagetes erecta flowers and 3 leaves which where drying for a year, I fill the jar with kefir halfway and than add more milk.

Because I was left with some kefir I also got idea to try something else. I put just in kefir and kefir grains, two teaspoons of honey, store bought basil 3 teaspoons, one teabag of chamomile, half a teaspoon of cinnamon and black pepper and a teaspoon of cacao. Then I make a smoothie with this.

All preparations where finished at 2pm. After an hour I try just a few sips of the herbal mix kefir and immediately I notice slight perceptual changes. Nothing much but I doubt it was placebo. It had a warm feel to it. I had some business that day so I couldn't really pay attention to the slight effect nor did I try to consume more. Now almost 24 hours later, kefir is very acidic and again I tried even less and again noticed something similar. After I finish writing this I will probably drink all I have.

Now on to the big guy. Tagetes erecta kefir was left for 10 hours and than I tried a few sips. First of all smell and taste was very weird. It felt artificial and flowery. It reminded me of McDonald's for some reason. I wrote down in my book what I noticed. At begging I wasn't sure if it was placebo but after a while it was obvious that something was happening but because I didn't like the feeling of it I didn't consume more, and for me T. erecta experiment is finished forever.

"Oily flowery smell, very strange, artificial, reminds of McDonald's. My head is warm, maybe I'm just hot. Nice body feel. Pressure in the head still noticable. Things look closer than they are. Cold vibe. No effects from sublingual for 20 minutes it appears that it's oral activity responsible.
I had the impression/ I thought I saw a tea cup moving. Speaking in tongues, although this is common with me when I'm bored or high, this time it was more strange, kinda agressive or evil towards something. Dark agressive thoughts towards something, feeling if I would like to fight someone. The place where spirit of this potion resides seems like a cold dark house in the village, abandoned, or with just a lonely and depressive weird guy lives. Definitely some relaxation in the head and a bit in the rest of the body. It seems deliriant or dissociative, I don't know the difference. Everything feels more darker and weirder. "

I didn't write the time for effects sorry. I never tried Salvia but from what people write about how it feel, her spirit, it reminded me a bit of her, although I'm not sure I would say that this spirit was feminine but masculine.

After I went to sleep effects became more apparent. Although last few days I was sleeping for about 6 hours a night I doubt that the effects where just from sleep deprivation.

Very quickly I become half conscious and had more vivid internal images. Images where changing and there wasn't much time between them when is just darkness behind eyelids. Ono of the things that was very interesting for me is that I was thinking something half conscious and noticed that for previous at least 10 to 15 seconds I was seeing image of incense stick and smoke very clear, and when I became conscious off it it still didn't go away but pressisted for at least 5 second more which is weird because usually after I become conscious off them they almost immediately disappear. It was fun time trying to fall asleep and I feel asleep pretty quickly.

So thats it basically. Lot of hypnagogic images from T. erecta kefir. I believe this maybe effective for some plants I have a lot more experiments to do and I hope I don't accidentally die from whatever chemicals be made from this.

I got the idea for Tagetes erecta because in The Encyclopedia of Psychoactive Plants by Christian Rätsch it says that T. erecta and T. lucida have salvinorin like substances in them.

By the way I drank basil, herb mix kefir now, everything I had and I notice that I'm relaxed, colors are more saturated? and everything looks a bit sharper. Also my movement are slightly uncalculated as if not properly measured distance from the glass when I want to grab it. Like I'm wavy. This I guess can be ascribed to general relaxation. My face is also tingling like when slightly tipsy from alcohol.

I have acorus calamus, mint, chamomile, valerian I'm not sure I want to fuck with it, Iresine herbistri 4 half dried leaves, mentha longifolia but it contains pulegone so I'm not sure this is to be fucked with, Salvia microphyla and gregi I think, rosemary, and other herbs so if you have any idea what to try next please comment.

I have Salvia glutinosa but my grandmother weed it out 😂🤦🏻 so now there are a bunch of young leaves and I'm not sure I should gather it's leaves when it's already in vulnerable state before winter.

Any advice would be appreciated. 🙏☦️❤️🌿

Btw Iresine herbistri if I remember correctly is added in both cimora (San Pedro cactus) and Ayahuasca but I'm not really convinced that it contains maoi or dmt or mescaline. I believe something from it maybe just potentiates this brews but is not the essence of brew.

First I thought to try it with harmalas but as I have limited supply I think I'll just ferment it in kefir.

Now I think I finally wrote everything I know so far and every theory on this kefir thing. I will bother you no more. 😁

very interesting, homemade milk kefir by itself is one of the healthiest beverages one can add to his diet.

just for fun, ill try to test if THC can be acetylated to THC-O acetate. (i don't think it will work but you never know)
