It probably will. Take some solid DMT (base) and add a bit of water. Now slowly add lemon juice to the water. If the DMT dissolves, you have DMT citrate (since DMT does not dissolve in water by itself, you know you must have made a salt).
But why do you want DMT citrate (or acetate, for that matter)? Only the fumarate can be dried and kept normally. Maybe you are interested in oral ingestion? Should be okay for that.
