Life In The Post-Antibiotic World (Or: The Scariest Thing You'll Read All Day)

I guess it's time to get our immune systems working and master our sterilization techniques ... I also like the idea of phage-therapy; it's kind of creepy.
 
I saw a documentary about a French guy who was about to lose his leg to some bacteria that was resistant to antibiotics...

He went to some (sorry, don't remember which) Eastern European country (as in formerly on the other side of the Berlin wall) to get phage therapy - which saved his leg...

Phage therapy is outlawed in a lot of countries - I believe it's outlawed in the entire EU...

I have this feeling, also, that my immunity decreases when I haven't partied for a while - which may sound silly, I know - but at parties we constantly share drinks and joints, which I don't do when sitting at home alone, and I really think this helps my immune system, but hey, I'm not a doctor...

Off to read that article now ;)
