Hey everyone!

Excited to join this community and connect with others exploring DMT. I've been using DMT intentionally to support healing and recovery, especially following a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that significantly impacted my life. Through my experiences, I've become fascinated by DMT's neuroprotective and regenerative properties, and I've found it incredibly helpful for mood stabilization, emotional reset, and overall mental health.

I'm particularly interested in how DMT interacts with meditation, music, and physical wellness routines. Personally, I enjoy combining my sessions with Transcendental meditation or very low dose with a vibration plate that I stand on to engage the most parts of the brain while forming new pathways and thoughtfully selected music (WookieFoot has been a powerful companion for me! Just pretend their first three albums don't exist). I'm always researching new studies, techniques, and insights into sustainable and therapeutic use, so I'm excited to share what I've learned and hear from others about their journeys.

I'm currently navigating some challenging real-life circumstances and have been very grateful for dmt and the ways it's helped me. I've tried to not overly rely on it. I feel that psychedelics in general, if they sense you are leaning on them too hard for too long they will kick you out whether that's your subconscious saying no you need to do other things as well or the spirit of the plant itself. So I've incorporated DMT into a kitchen sink approach of many different things to get my brain healing.

Looking forward to meaningful conversations and learning from all of you!

Nice to have you here and thanks for the introduction! Welcome!

I am glad to hear that DMT has supported your healing, I can certainly relate to that. I have messed around with all sorts of ways to experience DMT. One thing I found is by having this experimental mind, I would lose the fear of doing DMT. It was like giving my brain a good reason why I should do it. I have tried all sorts of music and sounds. I have also approached DMT and other psychedelics in a meditative way as well. Just sitting and paying attention. I have had some amazing experiences in this way. As far as music, try some 'Ragas' or 'Classical'. Absolutely perfect music for DMT. Trippy music is always a go to, but those two in particular have a way of flowing into the experience in a very beautiful way in my mind.

I would love to hear everything you have to share in your research.

I am sorry your having some challenging circumstances and I can relate to that as well.

Really glad you joined Neurospice! Take care!

Neurospice,

Welcome to the Nexus. I really enjoyed reading your introduction.

I hope your continued work with the molecule continues to bring you the healing you seek.

I do find it interesting how psychedelics are self regulating, even (unlike other drugs) hard to do. I think your caution around these issues is well founded.

I hope to see you around. Maybe drop in to the chat some time.

Thank you so much for such a kind and thoughtful welcome I was honestly a little speechless and had to come back a few days later. It’s really great to connect with people who share a similar approach and openness to experimentation.

Your thoughts on losing fear through exploring different ways of experiencing DMT deeply resonate with me. I've found the same thing, tried it a lot of different ways at different doses trying to find what my body and heart respond to best. Breakthroughs are great but I love low dosing. Approaching it meditatively like just sitting quietly and being present has led to some of the most profound and insightful moments for me as well. I start most days with a red light and love to have an ultra low dose of dmt just staring at the red light with my eyes closed, creates a gentle peaceful effect that is also energizing, no music or sounds. It's very grounding.

I've tried ragas and really enjoyed it, but for some reason, it never even occurred to me to try classical music. Most of the normal psychedelic stuff like Shpongle tends to feel overwhelming to me, too much chaos for me. I started out with ocean waves and healing frequencies, which were helping me become more grounded in general. Eventually, I evolved toward lyrical music, choosing artists and lyrics that intentionally shape my subconscious. It's easy to say, "I want to be more like this," but I've realized it's important to actively give your brain tangible bits to build on rather then self punishing for how your brain currently works. It's been so helpful turning my nervous system from sympathetic to parasympathetic, which is huge for brain injuries, well it's huge for a lot of things but that has been my focus. The emotional ties into the physical.

I'd genuinely love any classical suggestions you have.

Yes, thank you! DMT has truly been life-changing, it actually allowed me to replace three different prescriptions related to my head trauma. The perpetual nausea and migraines were unbearable, so it's been a tremendous relief. You're right about the self-regulating nature of psychedelics; I always listen carefully to my body because I never want to be "kicked out" or overdo it. I really appreciate your thoughtful response.

Great to have you here Neuro. How inspiring to hear about your challenges and how you are incorporating DMT into your healing process. The Curanderos would be humbled and encouraged by your approach. Blessings and In Lak'ech, (I am another yourself)
