Does anybody here have experience with an LSD blotter reacting with Marquis reagent in chloroform to turn light brown/reddish? Reacting with just the blotter, without the chloroform?
I don't think the chloroform is necessary and I believe LSD should go yellow/green to black in contact with marquis, I can't say I've actually tried tried it to verify this, it's just what I've picked up in my research. Sorry I can't be of more help...
I was following Color Test Reagents/Kits for Preliminary Identification of Drugs of Abuse (page 4, A.5 LSD), where the LSD is apparently dissolved in chloroform.
Anyway, the blotter alone also reacted with Marquis reagent to turn a light shade of brown, although slower and after some fizzling.
