MEK vs Acetone

[USA4ME]

We are looking at the "Simple titration, and dual solvent crystalization" Tek for mescaline. It appears MEK could be substituted for Acetone. Are we correct assuming both would give the same results?

Just a guess...
If the acetone is dry and the mek is cold.
