Ok so I noticed it is going to be one year since I joined this forum and suddenly this idea got into my head.

Lets celebrate our members birthdays. Maybe stupid idea from a man who does not even care about his own real birthday but here its different to me. Its like celebrating someone being newborn into a "real" world. Reminder about your awakening.

I know it would require someone probably Moderators to watch the members list. What do you think is it too much hassle ?

We could have a sub-forum for it or just announce it here.

I assume people here would prefer to remain more anonymous given the potentially controversial nature of membership and posting here...

I think the title of this thread is easily misinterpreted – I think the OP wants Nexus anniversary dates acknowledged in some way. (My 2 year “birthday” is just a couple of months away.)

Oh yes, I didn't read closely the OP's first sentence, which implies what you said: "Ok so I noticed it is going to be one year since I joined this forum and suddenly this idea got into my head."
 
I did not think it could be misinterpreted sorry for that.

As gibran2 said it is nexus anniversary dates acknowledgement not members real birthdays celebration :)
 
A lot of folks joined before 2008 though when the server was switched over, hence you see a lot of folks like myself with the same join date of 18 january 2008

Well I guess Traveler may have the original dates and if that would be too much work why not start with 18 january 2008 as a day one ?

As I said maybe it is not a good idea anyway as you can see non of the mods or Trav had any comment about what they think about it so its not going to happened anyway :)

I genuinely thought that it was nice idea to remind all our members ( by congrat message ) how long they were part of this fantastic community.

I understand that it would probably be too much hassle for mods or Traveler to keep and eye on the list of all members.
