mesc extraction question for experienced SWIM(FASA)

So SWIM Has Had this ball of hard green resin from a San Pedro ISO extraction sitting around and would like to try to clean it up using the FASA method. to do this hes gotta have Mescaline freebase. so my question is: Can he just dissolve this ball into a basified solution, extract with xylene or similar then add FASA to precip Mescaline fumarate? Im pretty sure thats it but swims only done this with DMT that was already freebase. Any suggestions would be appretiated greatly

ime extracting from tar/resin isn't too easy

any why not just salt the np using typical methods?

Well, I figured the FASA method was the easiest way to precipitate a very pure product. Is there a simpler way to achieve an equally pure product you could suggest?

as far as I know, there has been very little success with fumaric salts of mesc. There is an unverified claim on the wiki that mesc fumarate is soluble in acetone/isa/water I think, which would mean you have to evap the polar layer to get a solid salt. There is definitely room for experimentation here, so let us know how it goes if you try fumarates out there is a good thread by Phlux- about cleaning resin impurities with acetone also.
