Might have messed up my MHRB Blab extraction.

I am at the stage where i have a beaker of d-limonene full of dmt. In step 4a it says to disolve furmic acid into IPA which is what i did. After decanting it i have been slowly adding it to my beaker of d-limonene but halfway through i realized i made a mistake. I used 70% IPA not 99% IPA because i failed to read the directions properly. Will the %70 still work or can i still salvage what i have? I should have just gone with step 4b since that just uses regular water.

My beaker of solution has sperated into two layers. The top layer is a cloudy slightly yellow color and the bottom layer where most of the %70 ipa seems to have ended up is a dark opaque yellow.

EDIT: After sitting for 8+ hours the top layer is completely clear while bottom layer is a dark opaque yellow.

Isopropyl is miscible with limonene, so I think your fumarates will have crashed out and then been redissolved in the 30% water, which will be the bottom layer. So if you remove this and evaporate, you should have the fumarates, probably in the form of sticky goo and with limonene and fumaric acid contamination. You could then redissolve this in water, filter and evaporate again to clean it up a bit. Maybe then do another pull or two with FASW in case anything is left. (Might just yield fumaric acid though).

Ive only done BLAB with FASA so hopefully someone else more experienced with FASI can give you more help.

Agreed with ijahdan.. I'd separate the bottom layer, then wash your limonene a couple more times with FASW, evap the bottom layer + FASW pulls to yield impure DMT fumarate, which you can do a paste with sodium carbonate and pull with (dry) IPA or acetone and do FASI/FASA if you want fumarates, or evap the IPA/acetone if you want freebase.

If results are still impure you can proceed to clean them in any number of ways such as re-x, re-a/b, etc.
