I have a tree that is now about 5 years old. Too big now to bring indoors. Easily 12 feet tall. I am in Zone 8. Early in spring I dug a deep hole and planted her in the ground. Before 1st frost i am going to prune it and wrap it in burlap and mulch the base heavily. My hope is that come spring the trunk will have enough life left to cause new sprouts.
