Mini A/B question(s)

Should the volume of the initial pulls be reduced before doing a mini A/B?

For example:

5 times 100 mL pulls for 100 g ACRB

Should the volume of these initial pulls be reduced to 100 mL before adding the acidic water?

Also, what volume of acidic water should be used for the mini A/B?

1x 500 mL? 3x 200 mL?

Thanks!

Thanks for the response.

Any reason you think the volume shouldn't be reduced?

My logic for reducing the volume was to make it easier for the DMT to be converted back to a salt.

I think it's important to remember as you reduce the amount of solvent saturated with DMT, you'll find that it'll crystallize and crash out. You want to clean the saturated solvent not crystallized freebase.

You 'could' probably reduce it considering you used quite a lot of solvent 5x100ml for 100g of bark is roughly double the amount that I would use. I would generally use 4x50 ml.

Some food for thought - a while ago I dissolved 3.5g of freebase DMT in 25ml of naphtha.
Naphtha holds quite a lot of DMT so there really isn't any advantage to using more of it in your pulls.
