mixing whole pieces of bark

I got the MHRB bark in whole pieces, mixed it in a THERMOMIX and got NO DUST... only thicker pieces. The question is whether the bark needs to be mixed into dust

For STB yes it's better to powder it.
If you plan doing acid boils first, shredded bark is ok

I've always made the dust version. Using nheptane, caustic soda and distilled water -- Is this the STB method? Now for the first time I got the full version of the bark. How to mix it into dust?

Yes, use a coffee grinder
