mushrooms and caapi advice needed

Hey nexus :)

Got a load of liberty caps and caapi and was wondering if they mix well?

Never done mushrooms with anything else before. I'll be tripping with a friend and we are both capable of high doses. We normally do 5g trips when it comes to shrooms.

Any advice or knowledge on the matter would be very welcome.

oh hell yeah dude, do a full dose of caapi 30 minutes before a full trip of shrooms if you know you can handle it. just lay in the dark and have a blast :thumb_up:

Hey, thanks for the post.

Have you tried this combination and if so what was the differences between this and a mushroom only trip?

Anybody who has experience with this combo, please post.

It's really going to depend on exactly how much caapi you take, and how much mushrooms, how strong they are, etc. Liberty caps are weaker per gram than cubes, which are weaker than something like pan cyan, right? But with a good caapi dose I think you should expect it to at least double the power of the mushrooms, maybe a lot more. So if you take something like 5g of mushrooms, be prepared for that to be like taking at LEAST 10g. It might be smart to start with less than you'd usually take, see how it goes, and work your way up.
 
^^^ No, sorry Crazy, liberty caps are quite potent. I have tripped my ass off on 1.5 g dry. Liberty caps are generally more potent than psilocybe cyanescens, though not by much. They are a good 2-3 times stronger than cubes.

I'd say 2g dry plus the caapi will get you pretty far out there. I have never tripped with shrooms and cappi, but have many times with shrooms and rue. A good rule of thumb is to cut your shroom dose in half to get he same effects. The rue also changes the nature of the trip, too. You can tell you're trippin on shrooms, but it is definitely different. I have only done liberty caps and rue once. I think I'll try again, soon.
 
Oh ok, I don't know much about libery caps, I don't think they grow in my part of the world. I guess they must just be small or something, because I've read about people eating like 50 of them as a regular dose. But those were wild ones from the UK, don't know if they're the same as the ones in the US. But that's where I got the idea they weren't as strong.
 
Oh yeah, they're pretty puny. It takes a lot of picking to get many of them, unless you find a killer spot. The biggest they get is maybe 2g wet. The English ones are the same as the American, but there is a giant Spanish variety.
