My first cebil snuff experience.

To begin i would like to say that i had no prior psychedelic experience and originally i decided to do this as a different sort of high other than pot, yet im am glad i did it as it truly changed my perceptions on drugs,plants and the spirits that reside in them.

Okay to the story then. This experience happened a year ago being a bored 17 year old with nothing to do and a couple hours to myself i decided today was the day to try cebil snuff and hopefully succeed and get the complete amount of cebil powder up my nose. so first i got 3 good sized seeds, put them in a bowl in the microwave for about 30secs and then remove the seed coat and pulverised the peanut butter smelling inners. i then mixed baking soda and the cebil powder to a ratio of about 2:1 and then added a very minute amount of water untill it had a dough consistency then back in the microwave for a couple 10second spurts to dry the doughy powder.

Now the experience. I got the powder and made two wopping great big lines on top of a harcover book on herbal medicine. i then prepared myself for the agony that was to follow and had a box of tissues at the ready. and ohmyfucking god the pain in my nose is so immense, i only got half the first line down and my head is throbbing. holding the first bit of the first line up my nose with the tissue then i finnish the first line up my throbbing right nostril. now the drip has started and i cant help but to gag but i know i need to get this second line down to make the experience worthwhile. so after another minute or two i man up and finally get the last line down and then the drip gets worse and i have to vomit. i get to the toilet bowl and purge. with my eyes closed and sweeting like a pig i get my first vision. It is a beautiful woman made out of glistening blue jewels , feeling as though i have messed up by not having a intention for using these seeds i start apologising to this "goddess?" and in that instant she mouths to me "It's okay" and as soon as that was said her jeweled form shattered in a million pieces leaving nothing but blackness. i open my eyes and the toilet paper in the toilet bowl is taking on the shape of an evilish skull so i decidee to lie down and i close my eyes to a nice mellow psychedelic play of colours an when i open my eyes everything has a slightly liquidness about it.

This whole experience lasted about 30 minutes at the absolute most. I hope to be able to share more of my experiences once i am added as a member as i currently have 3 trich. pachanoi, 3 trich.Bridgessii and some trich. peruvianus seeds growwing and would like to have a place to compare these three beautiful medicines.

you did man up! maybe next time extract a little with the seeds, dont worry about the baking soda, and try a little more concentrated, but smaller volume. just a thought id had when thinking about getting down that powder but maybe taking out alot of the body of it before i tried.

unfortunately i've never been chemically minded enough to try a extraction so i don't think i will although maybe a crude water extraction just to see if it works but i do doubt it will

Cebil snuff... ouch. It's bad enough on its own, not to mention when the amount of powder is tripled by copious amounts of added baking soda...

IME, taking any kind of psychedelic with the simple intention of "getting high" is just begging for trouble.:?

there are good simple techs here that i think would work. it would allow you to reduce the volume needed. everyones different. you could just as well continue on like the jopo snuff snuffers have always done. just food for thought.

hey mate true this was more or less a learning curve for me as far as using psychedelics goes, although im quite sure most people have done sillier things in the name of getting high.

also please correct me if i am wrong, i read you you need some sort of bassifying agent to make the snuff active? that was the only reasoning i had for using the baking soda as i read originally they used edible lime powder or ash to bassify. though looking back the amount used could probably be reduced significantly.

Hey man I'm not judging. From my understanding, the bufotenine and other alkaloids are typically freebased by mixing powdered seed with pickling lime, as you stated, to convert the alkaloid salts into their freebase form. I'm simply empathizing with the severe discomfort that I assume was caused by insufflating powdered seed and a lot of baking soda. One or the other would be hard enough on the nasal passages alone, I can imagine the pain is greatly multiplied when combined.

It sounds like this experience is pale in comparison to some of the silly and downright idiotic things I have done in the past to get high.

With that being said, I have had extremely horrible and traumatizing experiences when I was young and took psychedelics purely in the name of getting high. I really think that there is a lot that you could learn if you were to approach these things with a more productive intention. I really think as a culture, those of us who respect and appreciate these plants and chemicals need to do everything in our power to create some distance in the public eye between "getting high", and taking entheogens for exploratory or spiritual purposes.

Definitely agree with you there mate, respect is what needs to be given when delving into these altered states otherwise they can cause alot of repressed emotions and memories to surface which can be quite harmful to the person in question.

You know it is possible to smoke the roasted seeds, with enough of them in a bong. I used to do it. I'm surprised this doesn't seem to come up when people discuss snuffing yopo.

That said, it is a hugely stinky event and does not feel very healthy.

Some of my strongest experiences to date were through smoked yopo. Normally it felt like getting stepped on by a giant, somehow. A sense of a huge presence and weight, not very kind. Dark background with thin fast moving curved lights. Plus a massive body heat.

From the whole of my experience with it, I wouldn't really recommend it.

BUT, I once tried smoking the seeds while on something else and had a seemingly traditional DMT like experience. My only breakthrough to date. I remember very little of it and believe it was pretty light hearted. I was give a guided tour of a bit of a very orange place by two enthusiastic pixie orb things that plucked me out of my bed a moment after exhaling.
