my first glimpse of hypespace - shock and awe

I am writing this about 20min aftermy first glimpse of hyperspace. I used about 30-50mg of DMT (could not measure it better) in my vaporgenie, which worked amazingly. I was able / only needed to get one good hit before it overwhelmed me.

I say "glimpse" because to be honest, it freaked me the f*ck out! The whole experience lasted about 1-2 minutes before I got so scared I brought myself out of it - or maybe it was my body, because i felt a surge of nausea and walked to the toilet, by the time i was done dry heaving a few times the nausea went down and the trip was over - only a shaky feeling remains now and some exitement.

during those 1-2 min however, i saw intense CEV which could be discribed as geometric flower-shapes, but the most intesne thing was the feeling of just loosing it completely - I always thought shrooms were quite OK to handle even at high doese, well this was too much for me to handle even after only 1 hit and a small dose of probably weakish DMT. Still, I felt like there was a boundary which I was not ready to crss yet - it was like connecting an ant to a human brain or something.. I lack the words. Anyways, the extraction was succesful and I experienced my first DMT, however short it was - I think ive learned that some substance ARE strong, and it will take some time before im ready to attempt this again - I think I will remember this intense feeling right after exhaling the DMT vapor, at this moent I thought "Well now youve done it, you fried your brain" but atthe same time i knew i was in a safe envrinment and im def not "broken" now - just full of respect for this incredibly powerful substance!

The toughest nuts sometimes crap themselves the hardest when they go there.

I applaud you for obviously doing your homework, doing an extraction, and getting ahold of a GVG. You'c be surprised at how few first timers go to all that length B4 actually trying the stuff out to see what the fuss is.

I'm sure, with your heightened respect, and better sense of what might be in store, you will do better next time out the box. Just remember that it will only last a short time, and you aren't doing yourself any physical damage by taking an endogenous chemical your body is designed to deal with.

Try to calm yourself with breathing exercise, and hold on to your intention to accept whatever you are shown.

It actually can be easier to go even farther than to go to the threshold for many people simply because at even higher levels of the experience, there is no way, time, or ability to freak out. The self-reflective ego that does the freaking is simply not functional.

Your problem could actually be the opposite one though. You may have taken too much. 30-50mg in a single breath would floor most experienced psychonauts and have them crying Uncle. From how you describe your experience, I would guess you only got a portion of what was loaded, and there is probably still a good amount on your screen / scrubber. Either that, or you got so ridiculously high that you have no memory of what actually happened.

Either way, you might want to dial in your trip a bit better towards your sweet spot.

I feel you. The difference between DMT and shrooms is that with shrooms you have a gradual comeup and it makes it more comfortable because you can ease into it. DMT just rockets you directly into the peak and it certainly takes some getting used to. Adding harmalas mellows the experience a good bit.

Speed of onset is the only thing that in time you will get used to for sure, as it's the only thing in the experience that is certain.

The content of the journey is always very unexpected so, literally, prepare for anything. The more relaxed mood you can maintain the better experience you shall have.

Nausea, certainly for me is not common with straight DMT freebase. The only time I get nausea is when I accidentally swallow smoke rather than inhale and if I predose with harmaloids. Maybe try inhaling a little more slowly next time, as it will ease the entrance to the experience and make the initial inhalation more comfortable which hopefully will also eliminate any nausea.

I thoroughly suggest trying to get in the right headspace by sitting/lying down with your smoking device and preparing yourself as much as you can. With the more intense experiences you shall never truly be prepared, but you can at least give yourself a fighting chance.
