Naphtha Alternative

Im from Romania and trying my ass off to
find a solution for this...can t find nothing that i can be sure thst the rihjt solution...only zippo and ronsonol lighter fluid and primus
power fuel...any ideas what should i use ? Pls help..

Any of those should do. Check that they evaporate cleanly - without leaving oily residue - before proceeding.

Also look up their 'SDS' online if you can. This should give you enough information about their composition to help you decide which one is best.

If you haven't already check art supply stores. I couldn't find any good naptha near me in hardware stores, but found some in an art supply store. It is used for thinning down paints, it evaped clean for me and worked well. I think the naptha in an art store is more likely to be clean, as you wouldn't want residues in your painting.

Also some art stores carry heptane which can also be used.

All that said, I'm not from Romania so your mileage may vary.
