Naphtha Doesn't Pull Anything?

You have to give more information if you want us to help properly..

Is mimosa from reputed supplier? How much mimosa? A/B or STB? If A/B, how many boils and for how long? Is solution jet black when adding base? Do you have more info on your naphtha (MSDS or other more detailed info on content)? How much naphtha per pull? Did you do many thorough cycles of mixing/letting stand before pulling the naphtha each time? How much heat to evap? Nothing = literally nothing or small amounts of goo?

A/B

3 30 minute aicd boils at pH 4 with vinegar

solution was jet black

UK Ronsonol naptha used

50ml naphtha pulls

three cycles of mixing/letting stand

80 o C heat for evaporating naphtha

NOTHING in the naphtha

I think my problem is I have to make the naphtha mix cycles much, much longer than is recommended.

It does appear that he forgot to add base at least in the steps listed. However the color of jet black sounds like base was added. I always get some nice red/burgundy/purple colored liquid at the end of the vinegar cooks.

This is a stupid thread, someone give Snozz a medal and then can a mod delete this thread? I'm going to make a thread going in to step-by-step detail of what I did and then in that thread I'm going to ask what I did wrong after giving many details about my extraction process.

I was answering your questions, I did base and that was not my extraction process that was a list of answers to your questions, I'm not upset it is just that this thread IS stupid because it doesn't have a point because I didn't initially declare my extraction process, here is the new thread:
