You are going to need to pull more, I imagine. You pull with minimal solvent until it no longer changes color. Generally you should do at least 5 times. And for optimum precipitation, you should evaporate your solvent at least half it's original volume, and even down to 1/3 is good. The more saturated the solution the better, really.

dont be afraid to shake! swim used to get paranoid due to all the dreaded "emulsion" posts here. Then swim found a way to beat the emulsion that does come from shaking. check this post: How to beat emulsion

use hot water bath throughout the procedure. after re-injection of the emulsion put it in the hot water bath and let it set a couple of hours.

Heres a third pull using hot water baths and shaking:

It could be re-extracted if you are looking for that pure white. This third pull was from a 1500ml of mhrb/water/lye. I bet swim will get a couple more pulls. The pull was evapped about 60-70% before freezing.

For my last extraction I though I would try a single large pull with a larger amount of naphtha that generally suggested (250ml of naphtha for 50 mg of MHRB) and, rather that really shaking it up, I did a series of ten 1 minute long gentle rolls within an erlenmeyer flask before moving on to separate and wash the naphtha.

I tried the freeze precipitation over night, but got nothing so I am thinking that I need to evaporate my naphtha enough to allow for the precipitation.

How long would it take for the naphtha to sit out, uncovered, in a 6"x6" container to reduce the volume from 250ml (ish ... I lost a little) to under 200ml?

Thats alot of naphtha for 50 grms of mhrb, holy cow

When my cat does Naphtha extractions, she places about 75mL of solvent in a shallow round dish about 1m underneath a ceiling fan set at a speed to make small but noticeable ripples in the solvent. The middle tier of her cat-tree (that she adores her human's partner for making for her) serves the purpose well for a raised platform to set the dish on. The solvent starts at a depth of about 6mm and is completely evap'd within 1.5 hrs.

The fan is key. Without it, she has to wait through at least 2 naps (at least 6 hrs in human terms) for the evap to finish.
