Naptha Sinking on Extraction DMT

Having a problem with pulling current batch of DMT...

The Naptha is not wanting to come back to the top of the mixture, it's staying presumably sunk in the mixture of the lye / mimosa powder. Eventually out of frustration I added more Naptha just so I could try again, I've managed to get back about 40ml from the top since, eventually, by that point I had to water the mixture down a little so it was less thick, and that seemed to help bring some back to the top. Despite that there must be around 100ml Naptha still stuck down in the mixture, and I've only recovered 40ml to put in the freezer for the first pull.

Any idea why it's getting stuck and not coming back to the top??
I've done probably 5 extractions so far, this has happened to me twice, despite following the same guide every time.
Though I double the example since the example states 50g and I am using 100g Mimosa, so I double everything.

Anyone else have this issue, and how do you resolve it? without just blindly adding more and more Naptha, which I don't think is useful since the old that is still sunk is trapping the DMT content. I want it back to the top so I can get it extracted.

Any ideas? - I keep it in a slow hot bath on the kitchen hob, the mix is in a metal container, in a pan of hot water, not enough to simmer, just enough to keep it all relatively hot. I found this more efficient than the idea of placing it in a pan of just kettle water and replacing it every couple of hours. It worked great for me the first time I did that method, with no issues... and pulled a great amount of DMT. This time is struggling, since I can't get the stuff to come to the top.

Exactly how much rb/water/naptha are you using?
Is the rb powdered?
Are you sure you are using naptha?
Are you sure you didn't emulsified the whole thing?

My guess would be that you messed up the rb/water ratios, and you have too viscous mixture and once you added the naptha it just got trapped in between the rb after mixing, especially if its powdered, maybe the water is not enough. Or maybe it all emulsified, or you just have solvent that you think its naptha but in reality it is something denser.

Prepare a NaCl solution, for example 36g NaCl(non iodised) in 100ml water and pour it in (use more if needed) dont use excessive amounts because you will be diluting the basified solution and the pH will move towards neutrality. Use heatbath also.

Equal parts, 100grams Mimosa Root as a fine powder, to 100grams Lye, to 600ml Water.
With originally 100ml Naptha, the technique I followed was for 50g Mimosa / 50g Lye / 300g water to 75ml Naptha, but I doubled everything, except for the Naptha, since it's just to trap the DMT and float to the top you don't need excessive amounts. I used extra since the mouth of the container is quite wide so it spreads more thinly on the surface.

I've done the method remember 4 times already, with exactly the same materials I am using today. So I know they can work perfectly fine. Usually there is no issues... I've managed to pull off 0.85grams / 850mg DMT so far from the first pull. Close to one gram, still struggling to bring the rest of the Naptha to the surface since I've only managed to pull 40ml.
So there's a lot stuck down there. After struggling around with it, I did add more hot water to thin out the mixture, thinking maybe it was too thick and to loosen it up, it did seem to help a little, but not greatly.

Provide picture if possible, if you have adequate amounts of water simply add straight NaCl and use heat bath. The idea was to make the mixture less viscous and at the same time increase its ionic strength to "push" nonpolars away from the aqueous solution.

My guess is way too little water in the Lye solution. Noman's tek is a 750ml water 50g lye 50g rb.
All the other tek's i've read are similar ratios. It's not so much the ratio of water to Lye but a ratio of solution to your rb, while having your solution at the correct range of PH.
Which Tek are you using?

Also what kind of "metal" container is your solution in? Most metals are quite reactive even if you don't see it and could be having an effect on your PH levels. Glass containers, esp borosilicate/pyrex is prefered.
