Hi everyone,
Im 26 and have been interested and taking psychoactive substances since i was around 13-14. I love science and have 2 science/geology degrees and well versed in alot of other science subjects. ive had periods of bad addiction in my life which started when i abused my ADHD meds and conned the doctors for more and more. since then ive replaced one drug for another and am on suboxone to keep my heroin addiction at bay, vallium, and 2 antipsychotics because i get paranoid and have some form of psychotic illness which the doctors dont know what to call and been sectioned for psychotic breaks on two occasions; secretly its IV meth use 5/7 days a week. Yes i know, [you dont need to point out how stupid an apparent smart person can be]. This year ill hopefully be studying biology and chemistry subjects to move onto a biochem PhD in the future.
I have recently become interested im ethnobotanicals (always was, just alot more interested now) and have started a herbarium, collecting all the interesting plants that i see. with the current stack of newspaper/plant clippings over 70cm high.
Ive read all the TEKs and they all seem awesome but my problem is with scale. Ive got a number of barks which im considering just putting them all together and separating the different alkaloids after extraction using acid/base salt solubility differences and fractional distillation (i have fractional distillation equipment and separating funnel)
These are my starting materials and most of them are a mix of similar species of guess of species
my plan is to chuck em all in a big bucket and do one big extraction, but how?
I was thinking of doing as acid/base conversion then do a pull using a polar solvent (what is naptha?? i have naphthalene flakes but that doesn't sound right- is it just C5+ alkanes such as kerosence) shellite. i have also considered using methylated spirits to dissolve the DMT -> pour off A/B extract using polar solvent and then reusing the metho for 3 or 4 more pulls.
I have hydrochloric acid and will be getting formic acid (for purification + of acetone), citric acid and acetic acid. Ill also be getting ammonia, sodium hydroxide and lye (im starting a chemistry set aswell so im just adding to my chemical stocks. solvents i have are methylated spirits, shellac, xylene & acetone - to which i will be adding more such as diethyl ether, dichloromethane, D-limonelle, toluene ect. Also PH indicators.
I also have (in the post) a separating funnel and equipment for distillation, fractional distillation, solvent extraction and refluxing. (im doing a chem/bio masters this year and already have 2 science degrees, im not becoming breaking bad)
ok here is my material
Plants from front to back. In my area we have a rabbit problem and in addition to the massive amounts of rain recently whole 10-15m trees have fallen over sadly
bucket 1 - acacia species unknown obstusia or longifolia - smaller plants so shaved bark which left the yellow material underneath untouched which explains the colour - msy have some of the wrong photos here, took them over a month ago
bucket 2 - acacia minamossa type species? need help id'ing
bucket 3 - randoms acacia species mix of lots of species

large tub - acacia obstusia which i was able to get quite a bit of material from
bags 1 & 2 - -minamosa spp. unknown beans and pods seperated and then pulverised (5-meo in beans, dmt in pods i heard?!?)
the beans and pods pulverised seperately
I have also two other species of minamossa type trees recently with red flowers and im waiting for beans to ripen.
and another minamossa type species which i will be investigating and another large group of acacia longifolia or obfutusia which i might investigate.
this one has much smaller pods which stick up vertically
and this one is much the same as the other one ive collected but had smaller seed pods and much much more of them
AND then yesterday! i was going for a walk through a park with my parents and i looked at a plant and thought that looks familar (i have the encyclopedia of psychoactive plants), i let them go shopping while i investiaged and found at least 15 species which i beleive to be ethnobotanicals from the amazon, it seems someone either started the park to preserve such species or the gardener is having a bit of fun, these plants look to include Anadenanthera and also look to include tobacco! ask if you want to see some photos which i will happily upload. i took samples of them for my herbarium and are currently being squashed between heavy weights and newspaper

thanks
