Need help with failing straight to base tek

I am in need of help with a STB tek. I have tried 4 times and every time it fails in the same way. I am following lazymans tek pretty much to the letter so I can't understand what the problem is.

The issue that I am having is that end the end I never end up with any crystals, just slimy brownish green goo, when vaped this goo makes my lips numb and has little to no psyco active effects.

What I am doing:
I purchased 1Kg of powder MHRB from an online vendor.
Each batch was as follows:
- 100 grams powdered MHRB
- 650 ML tap water
- 50 grams of pure lye in 200 ML tap water
- 50 grams of kosher salt.
- 100 ML of 100% V&MP naptha

Add the MHRB to a large glass mason jar (1/2 gallon), pour in the room tempurature tap water, mix thouroughly. Mix salt with water and add to large mason jar. Add the lye to the 200 ml water and stir until it is clear. Add the lye solution to the large glass mason jar. Stir until mixed thouroughly (The mixture turns dark black like guiness stout and reaches a PH of 12 -13). Let sit for a total of 2 hours ahaking the jar every 15-20 minutes. Add 100 ML of 100% V&MP Naptha. Wait 1 hour shaking every 10 to 15 minutes. Siphon naptha from top into pyrex baking dish. Place baking dish in sun until all solvent has been evaporated. I am left with a brown goo of honey consistency,

I have tried a water wash in the naptha prior to drying with no real improvement.
I've also tried putting the naptha into a cooler with dry ice for 6 hours and it turned cloudy with no crystals.

Can you see anything that I am doing that is wrong? Is my MHRB bunk?
 
The first steps seem fine to me.

Evaporation often leads to goo, and will concentrate any naphtha impurities in the final product.
Did your naphtha pass the evaporation test?

How much are you shaking the NPS and bark soup mix? You need to give it a good swirl or invert the container a few times every mix, so the naphtha layer disappears for a short while. Otherwise the DMT doesn't get enough chance to dissolve in the naphtha.

Freeze precipitation won't work very well if the concentration of DMT is too low. So try only 50ml naphtha per pull, and let some of it evaporate after pulling, until you can see it going cloudy when you blow on it. Too rapid cooling can lead to suspension of fine crystals rather than them coating the bottom of the baking dish, so try pre chilling the pulled naphtha in the fridge rather than going straight to dry ice temperatures ( or try a domestic freezer if you have one ).

Failing that, it's probably time to try another bark supply. Is it definitely Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark? because I've heard of other parts of the plant being sold as "mimosa hostilis powder" or similar wording, and it's only the root bark that has a useable amount in it. If it's sold as purple dye then it's probably the right stuff.
