New Here. Looking for optimized Tek.

I’ve been trying to research for optimized Tek. Just received second batch of bark. Got some decent lab equipment and a fair understanding of heated a/b and cold stb as I’ve done both. Wasn’t so satisfied with yields. Looking for better or ways to optimize.

Hi there!

Have you done any background reading here yet?
Optimisation could mean a lot of different things depending on your exact situation. You seem to be focussed on yields, but how were you assessing extraction efficiency for your particular bark? The methods that you mention should be quite capable of delivering a high yield of whatever the content of the bark was, particularly through following the principles of extraction and not just some instructions.

There's every chance that you had weak bark, from what you're reporting, but just to be sure, it would be helpful to have an account of your extraction practices, ideally down to the minutest details, in order to stand a better chance of troubleshooting your particular situation. Having all the toys may not add up to much unless they're used in a competent fashion.

Times, temperatures, materials, actions - all of these are relevant. But for your question, understanding is probably the most important factor.

Here's a similar question from a few days back:
And a rather older discussion, with some food for thought:
There's more, if you're looking to get experimental:

Much appreciated. I have since spent hours of research on this site and likely have found the exact area I’ve been looking for. Really I guess I’m more interested in various approaches that I can experiment myself with. Will post work.

Great to hear. We'll be ready to answer further, specific questions should they arise in the course of things - and do remember, there's no need to reinvent the wheel!

Do you have a particular idea about the direction and parameters of your experimentation at this point?

Yes, since I have previously sourced from other rather than diy. I have had the opportunity of having acquired just about every different common type. All with slightly different characteristics. With little knowledge of what the actual differences were. I ventured off on my own with first A/B. Though it was satisfying to know I was able to know source it from myself, it didn’t scratch that itch. Now I know it was jimjam is what I have been seeking. After reading a post from nydex, I now had the words and hopefully knowledge for what was previously not known. I’m currently running Tek now. I’ll let you know soon how it goes.
