Hi beings!
I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the Nexus community! Simply cant get so far where I am now without you friends! My success and progress are comes not just from me, but also from your helpful Q/A topics, personal reports. Let's celebrate our nice progress!
Let me introduce myself. A few months ago I saw some sort of interview with G. Hancock talking about the effects of consuming dmt. I was amazed by the video. Again and again seeking for answers about my personal problems, life goal, etc., so I wanted gave it a try. Havent tried any other psichoactives yet. I was sure that dont want to get stoned, but want to be conscious about what is happening reaching a different state of mind. My health just good enough. [[redacted by mod]] After reading some teks realized that I want to make spice myself. After many clumsyness, managed to grow cristals finally, small yield haha, but it was a victory for me! After experimenting, found a proper way of spice intake, the methods of adminiszration section topics were very helpful to read. Happy, because feel it makes no harm for the body, no caughing, womiting etc. Than I found the effects way too short, so decided to take rue tea. Made mistake making the tea unproperly, and also fighting with the bitter taste, so now trying a different recipe. I am before breakthrough, light visuals seen, some pleasant memories from my early life came up! Despite the difficulties, I Enjoy this step by step progression. I am sure that Reading the Nexus more will make my techniques efficient.
Long live the Nexus!

Hello, @Famili-a-rentity,

Welcome to the Nexus! As you will see, I've edited a small part of your post out due to one of the rules we have in our Attitude Page. It's a good idea to read through that if you want to make the most of your stay here.

I'm also very happy that you've found the resources we have helpful in guiding you on that journey of revelation and growth. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?

Glad to have you here with us. Enjoy the forum, and see you around!

Yes, rue tea is one of the foulest-tasting drinks I've had in my life, and the more you drink it the worse it tastes. Or at least that's what happened to me.
Unless you're specifically after the full profile of effects of rue (instead of just the effect of harmalas), I recommend trying extracting the harmala alkaloids. It's much easier than DMT, the taste is less bad, and you can measure doses with higher precision. I personally recommend any of these methods:

Yep. I tried picking up my rue-drinking practice again recently and only managed two cups. It's so easy to come up with excuses not to drink that bitter dog-water

My tips would be - add vitamin C, a big dollop of honey and maybe half a drop of lemon oil, and drink it really hot.

@Famili-a-rentity - welcome, great to have you here with us on your voyage of discovery. I feel compelled to recommend you Robert Anton Wilson's "Cosmic Trigger" and "Prometheus Rising" as helpful reading, seeing as you appear to be poised on the threshold of what he might have termed 'Chapel Perilous'.

Have you done any other background reading?

I am sure this helps masking the smell, will try it next time. I read philosophical, spiritual books, zen buddhism many years before. Also found a great local website about psichedelics - have reports, guidebooks, forums - texted in my native language. I will take a look at Wilson's books.

I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one who would be very interested to hear about your reading list, and the website. It takes active steps to look outside the normal Anglophone web filters that normally get applied to much of my internet activity.

Finally have time to take rest and make thoughts. Here is what you are interested in, some of my readings and stuff.
I loved to read these books.
Dógen zen - Sóbógenzó-zuimonki
An Introduction to Zen Buddhism - D. T. Suzuki
Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind - Shunryu Suzuki
Zen Buddhism and Psychoanalysis - Erich Fromm, D. T. Suzuki, and De Martino
The Art of Loving - Erich Fromm
The Matrix and Philosophy - William Irwin
The Problems of Philosophy - B. Russel
Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid - Douglas Hofstadter
Thich nhat hanh
Power vs. force - Dr. David R. Hawkins
Tao tö king - Lao Ce

I feel Zen teachings very close to my soul. I did not become a Buddhist or ideologist. I want to understand the deeper meanings of religious and ideological teachings.
Nowadays I only read on the internet. Mostly about ayahuasca, and therapic use of substances.
The website I mentioned is ,,www.daath.hu,, (Hungarian Psichedelic Community)
About psichedelic substances, personal reports, forums, links, library and other written materials also.

In addition, now I produced some hermala salt, so have good excuse not to drink more honeyed dog-water.
