New paper: Neural Correlates of the LSD experience

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
This paper was recently published by the excellent Robin L. Carhart-Harris, David Nutt and colleagues:

This is the first neural imaging study on LSD, as far as I know, exciting.

I've been waiting for this paper for months, can't wait to dig in.

This is awesome, thanks for sharing!

I don't understand a lot of the jargon and whatnot, but I can get the gist of some of it. I'll report back, likely with a million questions or so, once I've managed to trudge my way through it all.
I too have been waiting for this!

David Nutt said “This is to neuroscience what the Higgs boson was to particle physics." I'm so please research like this is still going forward. If the silly Psychoactive Substance Bill does get passed (fingers crossed it doesn't) brain research like this will halt in the UK.
An interview with David Nutt about the study :)

It summarises some of the findings for those who are not familiar with these kinds of papers 😉

Damn, that Psychoactive Substance Bill sounds pretty bad DoingKermit, still going at it with the war on drugs :thumb_dow
There is so much potential and possible clinical applications in studying psychedelics, It would be a shame if research in this area becomes even more difficult to do :/
