Wilkinsons is a great place for lye. Home Products Caustic Soda I believe. This is where I spotted it, and got very excited. There's a home brew place that does sodium hydroxide, in liquid bottle form, to calibrate PH meters, though I'm not sure about it's purity, it was just called Sodium Hydroxide Solution. I don't know whether the solution part merely points out that it was liquid form, or whether that implies it's diluted to some degree, but if it's for calibration or some such, I imagine it's pretty pure, but the bottle may be small for the price however. Not that it matters, becasue Wilkinsons is the place to go. As your a fellow UK dude, Behlen Naphtha might be something to add to the list, though I'll be more sure after I've tried it of course. Anyway I've got an introduction essay to write myself, so I better get on. Good to see another UK dude. Thank you also to DMT-Nexus. Yield weighed in as 120mg.

The result of the two successful pulls were poured into an empty collection jar (although any container could be used really), and lighter fluid was poured in until all the dmt was dissolved. The jar was swilled (i.e. not stirred with anything, just moving the jar around to circulate the fluid)
There was a uprising amount of junk in there that did not dissolve, and that was left for less than a minute to settle to the bottom of the jar so that the fluid could be poured into another collection jar while leaving the solids. That collection was then put back in the freezer and later collected some crystals of what appeared to be a much finer quality dmt. The crystals were larger and more well-formed than before.

SWIM says even though this first attempt at extraction went wrong and much was lost, he asks me to post the yield asap and include a photo anyway.

Looking forward to SWIM ordering some more MHRB and reporting back some success.
