Hi Scoosh here, I've been introduced to DMT Nexus for info on my Sacred garden,
I've been collecting some amazingly beautiful exotic species of plants over the last few years and my garden is starting to bloom.
I'm in the Perth area.
hopefully ill be chatting to some like minded people soon and gather info to help me maintain my garden and save the required plant parts for future use.
flowering now is my brugmansia suaveolens yellow flowers. Nightshade Belladonna, Datura and morning glory.

what's the best way to harvest and store/dry the required parts/petals/seeds for future use?

probably should have just introduced myself first, on a different section, then asked questions.

cheers

Welcome 🤗

I'll see if I can't help you find another sub forum to get more help. Word of warning from what I know datura are dissociative and typically dysphoric in nature and nightshades can be very poisonous / toxic so please, if you plan on playing with these proceed with extreme caution.

I'll return with hyperlinks to better subforums for you to get help if I find them tomorrow

Best of luck🤞

Thanks for the feedback and quick response!
I've just spoken with my sacred plant supplier this morning and he explained all about the Belladonna Nightshade (Datura) and how I have to be careful with them.
currently drying all the fruits separate from the green leaves n stock and ill be drying 100% completely then mixing together so it all becomes uniform mixed evenly so that the components are all mixed and the strength should then be more evenly spaced out.
Then I could test tolerance levels using a tiny amount over a period of time to test potency if desired.
Cheers again

Total side bar here but did you know (allegedly) for the longest time that we as a species believed that tomatoes 🍅 were a deadly night shade?other night shades we do eat include peppers, egg plants, and potato's. Potato's are safe unless they're green on which case they are toxic and even small amounts of green potato can upset ones stomach. (The solanine in them is what causes this)

Other "anomaly foods" include bananas which are technically berries of an herbaceous plant 😮‍💨

Or let's talk about real and false berries 😩
"strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and bananas. " Are all false berries due to how they developed off of the plants flowers.

REAL berries include

Avocado, barberry, currants, gooseberries, grapes, pineapple, and 🍅.

Alright enough of the side bar let's chat about nightshades and what makes them dangerous (not even going to mention their berries)

Nightshades (the solanaceae family of plants) Is a flowering family of plants with edible and inedible plants. These usually rely on atropine, hyoscyamine, solanine, and scopolamine to produce their notoriously poisonous effects. Scapolamine being used in South/central America as a "suggestive drug" where by people expose unwitting victims to it in an attempt to coerce them into doing things they otherwise wouldn't willfully do such as empty bank accounts ,willfully hand over their vehicle for the taking, and so on. Solanine being the compound found in green potato's that is known for causing gastro intestinal distress.

Symptoms of night shade ab/use can include dilated pupils, dry mouth, rapid heartbeat, delirium, vomiting, hallucinations, and potentially death.

Belladonna is known as "deadly night shade because it is especially potent on propane content

Here's a health line write up that goes into a bit more detail of belladonas medicinal usages

Be safe, take your time, never use it alone 🙏
