Nice to be here!

Rising Star
Just looking for a place to happen, I'm placing my chips on the Nexus:)

I feel that I'm different than the people around me... I don't fit in when it comes to most conventional settings, I don't have many people in my life that I automatically connect with.

I love growing plants! This is my thing. It might sound strange but I think my soul is part plant, it's been this way since I was little, my grandfahther had an indoor lemon tree that would grow the biggest lemons! Even at that age (around 6 or 7) I remember being fascinated with the idea that someone could grow a tree inside that would make fruit.

I'm sure like most Nexians, I'm not the same person now as the one I use to be. I'm still looking to expand further by reaching out for like minded people and being there for others.

My future goals are to live self-sustainably, I am thinking an earthship is where its at for me, some place that I can grow plants and trees for food and functionality. I have a burning desire to prove that there are other paths through life, not just the well beaten path.

I greatly look forward to meeting the lot of you, and to have a little bit of fun along the way:)

Neme.

Can definitely relate to that. I feel very much the same and that is why I came here, to talk with like minded people. I wish you all the best.

Peace

What kinds of plants are you growing currently?

It certainly is nice to have a place like the nexus to exchange relatable ideas and experiences.

Glad to have you here!

I have two gardens, one is magical and I'm just starting it, I have two torches about an inch tall, two m.hostilis (one is just a baby and not established yet) and I have some calea z and b.caapi germinating atm (fingers crossed)

And my other garden, two 7 year old pomegranate trees, five dragon fruit vines - two of which are fruiting pairs, two aloes, a saguaro (at least I think it is), lemon, key lime, blood orange
Star fruit (my new fav, such a charming tree, the leaves also fold up at night) and a hand full of different seedlings. And some randoms and rescues:)

I use to have a way bigger collection, but sadly the pomegranates are the only ones that made the 4 day move in the winter from Toronto: ( I'm starting from scratch.

I'm growing a lot of plants/trees with the Earthship in mind, I want to hit the ground running when it comes time to filling up the earthship greenhouse.

Lol, you caught me on a good day, being a single parent to a boy... Let's face it, we are both bachelors and a clean house normally takes the back burner

Lovely collection. Sadly I can't grow anything as exotic in my climate. My mimosa died last year. I now have four seedlings in my green house that I hope will fare better.

Lovely to see your connection to nature, and everyone else here too. I love trees too -love all nature- and am fortunate to have some beautiful forests near me to get lost in.

Keep up the good work. :)
