Hello lovelies,

I wanted to discuss these weird peripheral, reoccurring visions I have just at the onset of a journey induced by smoking DMT. I prefer changa or straight DMT with herbs rolled in a joint, and often at the penultimate threshold toke, these humanoids appear in the periphery. They are at times the first visions I see. They are discouraging me from taking that last magical inhalation. As in, waving hands in discouragement, shushing with fingers to their lips, holding out a hand, palm out to gesture, "halt!" :!: or wagging fingers in a chiding manner. I usually close my eyes during journeys, but they know where the joint is and point to it as the source of my transgression. At least one time they were wearing tweed, like little cosmic bureaucrats. Sometimes they break character and giggle, so I have learned to ignore them.

Since what comes next is usually just magical, I hadn't paid much attention until recently. I tend to journal or at least take notes and make sketches following visions and I began to notice their frequency. Last time it was a woman, dressed in silks, waving both hands like you would to prevent someone who was running into danger or about to cause an accident.

Anyhow, afterward the visions are just fantastically rich and full. I see what I have come to call the "Gate Key"--basically a complex, vividly undulating knot-work fractal of impossible complexity. Then it's on and I'm having a stellar experience.

But yeah, what's up with the discouragement? At this point I don't have a whole lot of latent apprehension about DMT. Any one else notice this sort of thing or is it just me?

My suggestion would be to experiment with occasions when you actually do take their advice :) While your visions that follow may be rich and complex...perhaps not taking that extra hit would facilitate an even more meaningful experience. Sometimes you have all the DMT you need in you (smaller than usual) to have some of the most earth-shattering experiences. Essentially each time you go to take that extra hit, you are breaking concentration with your hyperspatial surroundings, and it can be understandable why these entities that literally thrive on your attention like a kind of nourishment, might not want you taking your eyes off them. It's not to say that taking an extra hit might not be worth it, but it's also to say that you should try experimenting by listening to what they say and seeing where that takes you. If it repeatedly leads to mediocre and disappointing experiences, you can drop the notion entirely, but at least you'll know you gave them a fair chance.

Thanks for the reply, Global.

I'll give it a try. I guess I never did try and give the little weirdos their due 😁.
