No fat in my Naptha pulls. What does it mean?

There is nothing but what appears to be a very tiny amount fat at the very edges of the jar, the layer is clear between my vinegar/mimosa and the naptha, I got my bark from sonoransong pre powdered, I soaked a kilo in two crock pots on warm with enough vinegar to fully cover and soak the root bark, I added vinegar as needed and in the morning turned the crock pots off. later that day we filtered it through a vacuum filter and rang all the liquid out of the mimosa with a t-shirt, then that sat for another day and we put it on a magnetic stirrer, we turned it up enough to slightly agitate the whole mixture and left it running for three hours. It's been sitting for a day now and there is no fat. Does this mean it's fake?

What tek are you using? Im a bit confused about your procedure. You put the mimosa in vinegar, let it sit and then filtered the mimosa, then added naptha? Did you add some sort of base?
What do you mean there is no fat? There arent two layers of liquid?

Im not an expert, and Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong, but I dont think there is any tek you can use where you dont need to basify the mimosa before extracting. Acid, then base, then solvent.

You are defatting? Firstly MHRB contains little if any fat, secondly naphtha is a poor defatting solvent.

our procedure is homemade a/b. from teks I've read it seems to be acid then solvent to defat, then base then solvent to pull pure dmt.

We put it in vinegar and let it sit in warm crock pots overnight. It was about one gallon of vinegar used in the end, and one kilo of mhrb was used. The naptha is still clear, there isn't a layer of fat between the naptha and the vinegar and mhrb mixture either.

You are correct emptymind.

parallelwhispers You are leaving out a very important step. You gotta basify your bark in an aquos solution in order to pull it with solvent.

You have told us a few times what you have done and not once did you mention basification of your bark.

Basify your solution before adding a polar solvent.

Also you dont need to defat MHRB.

Well I'm mglad that no fat from my solution isn't a problem, I was trying to defat before basifying, so I didn't have to basify, then extract, then acid wash, then basify again...

I guess now we shall basify it, and see what the pull looks like.

Friend I'm doing it with said his last batch of mhrb made the naptha really cloudy and it pulled a few globules out of it, So I was just surprised to see the naptha totally clear.

Does anyone think I messed it up by putting naptha in before basifying? The layers separated completely and all.
