First: I don't know whst's the potency of your spice but:
1) don't ever eyeball it
2) really, don't. Because for example with my spice good comfortable dose is 25-27mg. 75 vaped will most probably result in blackout if vaped properly.
Okay my general advice:
Your mesh seems to be unnecessarily thick. 1 inch is roughly 2.5cm which is too thick imo.
If you see some spice crystallizing on the glass it's normal. But at the same time you need to work at your technique.
Position your devolice vertically, so that mesh is facing upwards. Then blast mesh with torch for 5-10 seconds. If you see smoke and it smells like dmt it means you uad unburned spice left. After heating mesh carefully apply desired amount of spice (i recommend 15mg for beginners) to it. It should melt and be absorbed by mesh. If it doesn't completely, make a few passes with torch carefully over the pile of spice so it melts down into mesh.
Then position you device so that your lips are higher than the end with mesh, so that spice-loaded end is facing slightly downwards. This is to ensure that less of spice escapes flame into the pipe; gravity helping that.
Position your torch perpendicular to the mesh surface, but close enough that you are able to suck flame into the mesh.
You can preheat mesh by blasting at it fro the distance. So that it gets warm but no visible smoke appears.
After you are able to suck in torch flame into the mesh you will see white smoke in the pipe with the chrasteristic taste and smell. Inhale slowly but deeply. Hold for 10 seconds or more, then upon exhaling go directly for the second toke, here you should be able to point torch more into the mesh so that deep-embedded spice also vaporizes. This one should be finishin/clearing toke if you have mastered the technoque and dosage is reasonable. Third toke, unlike TMK suggest is not always required. But if you are a beginner similarly gold second toke for 10-15 seconds and go for the third.
But the most important: vaping spice can be hit and miss, it is just not as trivial as weed, especially for beginners so don't get frustrated, everybody goes through this stage.
