swim usually takes the jars out of the freezer and with the help of a serynge removes all the naphtha without touching the crystals , rather than using a coffe filter that usually nicks a bit of spice, than let it get to room temp , and slowly scrape everything off and set aside to dry , with the "dirty spice" swim usually keeps it aside and after redissolves it on really hot naphtha and again with the help of a serynge slowly removes all the naphtha leaving the lye/bark mixture behind with a little or none naphtha left ....
