I was sitting alone in the Forrest with my dog about to take a big hit and then I notice a man has walked off the path and is walking to me. He was convinced I was out there to bury my dog and warned me that he had pepper spray on him. I told him I wasn't that I loved my dog and wasn't that sort of person and tried to get out of there as soon as possible. Isolation seems pretty safe because the real danger of being in a city is the actual amount of evil people that could potential do you harm being in such close proximity to you, whereas if you are in nature you effectively reduce the number of those people to 0. However, if by the very rare scenario that one does happen to cross you while you are both in isolation then it is like getting eaten by a shark in the middle of the ocean. I think this applies especially for solo female travelers who have the potential to be raped unlike men.
