Novel extraction idea using heat

I just had this idea and thought I'd throw it out there. What if you did this:

1) Add boiling, slightly acidic water to your MHRB as you would for many other teks.

2) Basify with sodium carbonate.

3) Put that in a pot with the lid on it, and bring the water to a boil with ice sitting on the lid.

The freebase DMT should vaporize at lower than boiling temp and precipitate on the inside of the lid. Then you could scrape it off. Voila! Instant DMT with the least amount of time and chemicals. Yields might suck, but that would probably depend a lot on the size and shape of your container.

Thoughts?

The ice would melt on the lid, doesn't strike me as being efficient.

In the best of cases, this would be sublimation rather than precipitation, and the required setup would be much trickier unless you are okay with losing a lot of product. Doing it with a couple petri dishes, a beaker and some proper source of heat and cold (I'm thinking dry ice) might work for small amounts, but doesn't sound to me easier and more efficient than the common teks.

Also, a study of the present compunds triple point would be required. I'm afraid that any of the nexians with a good chemical knowledge will discourage your plan, or make it more complicated.
