One thing I definately dislike about Terrence McKenna...

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
All this psychedelic artwork and sounds distortions imposed on his lectures... To be honest it doesn't help what he's saying at all. It's lame, topical and extremely distracting. I actually want to pay attention to what he's saying, his words are enough to 'blow our minds', I don't need symbols to aid the experience. for me, it makes the message (which seems profound) come off fragmented and hard to absorb, especially for the 'outsider' who wants to think about the ideas generated from entheogenic trips as oppose to seeing an artist's rendition of the trips themselves. Don't get me wrong some of the art is great, as are his lectures, but they would be far more profound outside the eachothers presence. Combined they sort of decredit eachother. IMO

why dont you just listen to the talks, then? like in podcasts such as psychedelic salon and so on.. no visual distractions, just load it in your mp3 player and lay in bed smoking a j listening to it

I find it specially nice the trialogues with ralph abraham, rupert sheldrake and him... very funny and interesting stuff

Yea, Tbh also the talks (in mp3 form):

Conversations at the edge of magic
Food of the goods

and I can't remember any others off the top of my head at the moment.
