Opinions & advice on Ayahuasca plan wanted

Migrated topic.
Almost ready now, the brew is on its final boil and I'm just getting everything ready. I'll be turning the computer off so I'll let you know how it goes the morn.

My p.V bush is a fairly big bush, 2-3ft or so, and I've got a few smaller ones growing though they're much smaller. I can't grow them permanently outside in my climate so I have to keep them indoors (mostly) as houseplants. I'll post a pic tommorow. Yours look nice 'Coatl, have they grow much su=ince that pic was taken?
There are a few fresh leaves but mostly its dried leaves that've just fallen off at various times & been collected. I did grind them up, not completely to powder though. The vine was fairly finely shredded so I couldn't really improve on it.

Good idea about adding DMT HCL for a 2nd dose. I've got some citrate & fumarate that I was tinkig of adding anyway that I'm going to drop in.

Thanks for al the help guys.

Unfortunately a disappointing time, I failed to get more than a slight threshold effect, if that, and some diarreah. I'd divided my Ayahuasca int 2 doses of ~250ml of drinkable but bitter mouth coating liquid. I took the first and did get some feeling and some CEV after about 40 minutes but this didn't last beyond a slight mental effect. ~20 minutes later I took the rest of the brew but apart from some nausea, and diarreah 2 hours later there was nothing other, perhaps, from some clarity of thought. Not what I was expecting or looking for but I'll just chalk it up to experience and know to make it stronger in future. My brain/body chemistry tends to make me a hardhead for a lot of things now I know its no different with Ayahuasca.

Here's some pics of my Chacruna

They will end up getting pretty big.... the ones I posted are like a year or two old.

Very nice plants!!!

Mine have grown a little since that picture was taken!

Sorry Aya' didn't work out for you! PM me for a vendor if you wanna try again!

It is not uncommon for your first couple of brews to not be so heavy.
Some folks think this is a Salvia-like reverse tolerance thing, others think it has to do with paying respect to the vine & getting to know her personally first.
Now I don't know from either of those ideas, but my first attempt did nothing at all.
The second one however, using the same ingredients & same amounts, was out of this world!!
So who knows...I'm guessing it has more to do with the method of preparation, or trying to rush the brewing.

Did you add any kind of acid to the liquid?

Also, be careful not to let the liquid get to a full boil during the brew, you want it just below boiling, a slow, 2-hour simmer.
When doing the final reduction, it is extremely important to not let the Aya get to a full boil!!
It will burn up the alks on the bottom of the pot if you do not take your time!!
The whole process usually takes an entire day!!
*Three, 2-hour boils.
*30-45 minutes of filtering each (at least!)
*An hour for the egg white fining (gotta let it cool & slowly bring up to a boil again)
*More filtering (3-6 more times)!! Gotta get all of the egg out, plus any other solids (try to keep it hot while doing this to avoid loosing alkaloids)!!
*1-2 hours for final reduction.

The times I've had a weak brew, it was always because of trying to rush the process
If I start @ 8am, I'm usually not finished until 1-2am!!
I stopped trying to brew & drink on the same day, as I always end up wanting to rush it & I'd burning some goods...

Yeah, I'm disappointed but not too broken up as this tends to follow a pattern for me with new entheogens/hallucinogens in that I often don't get anything the first time. I recon I'll try it again when i get more supplies in and aim a bit higher in terms of strength, maybe try chalionga in the mix next time.

I did put in some citric acid & lemon juice & took about 10 hours with the boiling, though possibly the boil was more vigorous than it should've been - I aimed for a gentle steady boil though.

I've still got the plant matter left over and new water boiled in it comes off darker coloured so I'm going to do some more boils of that, save the water and then use it for boiling down the next brew. Waste not want not.

I didn't do the egg white filtering this time as I couldn't get to the shops to get an egg and couldn't find any clear instructions on how to do it through the search engine - can you let me know how to go about this?
