Passionflower Tea

Migrated topic.

so someone would still trip if the LSA was extracted out of the seeds right? since LSA is a sedative, isn't it better then to discard it (or convert to LSH), and consume just seeds without the LSA, or no..?

Most techs that claim to extract LSA in fact also extract LSH with it, as well as several other similar compounds which are also likely psychedelic.

Fresher seeds are said to contain more LSH. It’s been theorized that all of the LSA in these seeds is originally LSH, but that it decomposes into LSA. LSA is a breakdown product of LSH. Apparently, the longer the seeds sit, the more LSA and less LSH they contain.

The LSA to LSH techs that exist are NOT proven to make LSH, but SWIM believes they do work to make LSH. LSH is a stimulant. According to animal lab tests, LSH pretty much duplicates the effects of LSD, but has more side effects, while LSA is simply a sedative. The LSA to LSH techs, when they are successful, completely get rid of the sedative effects of LSA, and make the brew have stimulant effects, and make it more psychedelic, more in-line with the effects of freshly picked seeds.

While the LSH debate is ongoing, it’s a fact that freshly picked seeds are more psychedelic, more stimulating, and less sedating that older seeds. This makes sense, as the LSH will breakdown into LSA over time, losing it’s psychedelic stimulant effects, and becoming a sedative of little interest.

The psychedelic effects of LSH in man are UNPROVEN by lab tests. So keep that in mind. Despite that, the evidence seems to point to LSH being the main active psychedelic in the seeds, because LSA obviously isn’t, and LSH is the closest thing to LSD in molecular structure that’s present in the seeds. The seeds also contain other similar alkaloids that are likely psychedelic as well, but LSH is the closest structurally to LSD by far. Judging by the structure and the animal lab tests, I’m willing to bet LSH is the active psychedelic in the seeds. LSA is proven to be a sedative, so it’s either LSH or something else, or a combination of alkaloids that make the seeds psychedelic.

Some people can never reach a visionary experience with LSD. SWIM is one of those people.

Very interesting.. I guess Terence McKenna was one of those people that couldn't get visionary effects from LSD as well.. I was always under the impression from his books that mushrooms were more visual, because according to him, LSD lacked in the visual department, and in order to get into the full blown visionary state, you have to take massive/scary amounts.

From SWIMs experience, he gets barely any visuals from mushrooms and gets the most amazing visuals/visions from LSD.. I am quite curious as to why this is.. SWIM has a few friends that claim to not get visions from acid as well.. Is it just in SWIMs genetics or something??

That's a good question. For SWIM mushrooms are a 1000 times more visual than LSD. He can have full blown visions with mushrooms pretty easily, especially if it's Psilocybe azurescens. For SWIM ayahuasca, bufotenine, and mescaline are the three most visual psychedelics there are. LSD is almost down there with 5-MeO-DMT as lacking visual effects, although occasionally LSD has given pretty good visuals, but this was never the norm for SWIM.

Mckenna did say that LSD never gave him visions unless he mixed with cannabis or mescaline..only then would it do the thing..

He did however talk about the extroadinary visions from morning glorys..and described them as powerful and very mayan/aztec etc..

I had strong visions with morning glories..never with LSD did I have visions.

I have eaten (CWE) the seeds of morning glories once. Nauseating and extreme bodyload. But after a while, lying still, the nausea faded and some very nice mushroom-like open eye visuals were definitely there.

Never tried LSD though.

I have recently became a big fan of passion flower tea.
Boy does it make your dreams very vivid while solely taken.
The fungus combo is a definite plus. While unless taken high does, fungus alone never hits that visual level for me.
But with even 1.75 and some tea, it catapults the visual signatures by ten folds.
