People who use overhead stirrers or other mixing tools

When I was reading the dmt Nexus article, I saw a post saying that overhead stirrers are good for mixing.
I'm thinking of buying one, but are there any people who actually use them? Or are there any other good mixing tools? I would be very grateful if I could get advice from many people.

They are indeed good but introduce a higher maintenance cost and risk of spilling. Magnetic stirrers are better IMO, but in general just hand shaking your tightly sealed jars of basic solution should be good enough. You don't need to go ham with the mixing anyway or you risk creating emulsions.
