Hey guys,

Here's the situation:

Three days ago: Cactus was put into freezer in stars and snakes.
Two days ago: Cactus was taken out, thawed, and blended all together and poured into different pans for evaporation.

Had planned to let the goo dry, and turn into powder and then do 69ron's tek, which calls for 100g of dry cactus powder.

Combing through the forums, I simply cannot find a detailed description of how to do 69ron's tek, but starting out with the blended cactus (instead of the powder).

[The goo is equal to three 11 inch long , by 2 inch diameter, cacti (Pachanoi).]
I really have no way of measuring in grams exactly how much that is. Don't have a scale that big.

I was told to basify it, and make pulls from the tea, but I have no idea how much lime to mix in with the goo, or what else I should do. (The instructions were vague, unclear).

Do I mix it with X amount of lime, stir, add d-limenone ( how much), let it sit, then pull? Repeat? I'm just not really sure of how to do the amounts!

Have all this figured out for the dry tek, but I'm clueless about what to do with the wet goo, because it's gonna take two weeks for it air dry. I'm settled on doing the wet tek.

Please help!
Thanks guys

If you don't mind posting the links to some clear post about it, then thanks! in case you don't want to rewrite it here.

No, lime does not work well for "wet" teks. If I were you I would either dry your blended cactus pulp in an oven or food dehydrator (mescaline is a very stable molecule, it can handle a little heat) and proceed with 69ron's STB tek, or go with an A/B tek like HeavenlyPursuit's. I have had great results with HP's A/B pressure cooker tek in the past.

heavenly's 'tek' is just a mix of a bunch of old (10yr old nook archive stuff)info, and really has alot of steps that add time and effort. like removing skin and spines. multiple pc runs and filtration, when you can leave all the material in the mix no problem, using premixed hcl to salt- multiple times- and all the steps to produce 'dry' acetone are other issues- hcl salts are water soluble and its almost impossible to make 100% anhydrous acetone at home, etc

best to understand the process and not follow a tek imo

Definitely don't use lime in a wet tek, I once made the mistake of adding lime to a tea. It turned into some kind of emulsified cactus soap.

If you are really unsure of the process and chemicals that are involved then you can always just boil your blended cacti for a few hours and pour off the liquid, reduce it a little (or evaporate it into resin) and enjoy. It will do the trick just fine!

If its 'Rons Tek' you want to do then you really need to chop up your cacti nice and fine and dehydrate it before powdering with a spice mill.

This. Absolutely this. But I would be lying if I said that I didn't come to understand the process over time by trying, failing at, and reading a ton of different teks.
