ph 1.4

Migrated topic.
that seems pretty low
if you haven't already started i'd say get rid of that liquid and start again, but i guess you wouldn't be posting unless you did start.. i say it shouldn't matter with reservations, not that that helps at all

You're doing the initial acid cook?
I guess you're using HCl to get it that low..
Apparently dmt.hcl isn't phased by excess HCl, so I wouldn't worry too much
but I wouldn't wait too long, move onto basification and do your Shellite pulls sooner rather than later

ok so i went on to defat this ph 1.4 solution 3 times then basified to ph 13 and did 2 500ml naptha pulls in a hot water bath. during the freeze precip a lot a white crystal had formed but once i poured the solvent off most of the white stuff melted to a decent amount of yellow oil. what caused this? the low ph?
How should i clean this product up to get white spice?

Interesting! This was exactly what I saw from some plant material I was working with, trust me that it is all goodness. Use some acetone to dissolve it and evap it all with some preferred herb base. Leave it for a week when you think its dry before smoking.
I tried another A/B on the oil to clean it up and ended up with cleaner oil, never any crystals. But that was the choice of starting material.
What part of Oz are you in? What plant material are you using?

If you were extracting from MHRB, that yellow oil is definitely good. It appears to be DMT N-oxide, but whatever it is, it's decent to smoke. I've talked to one person who deliberately converts their white spice into yellow oil before smoking it (see Delafonze19's Yellow Oil procedure in the preparations section of the Jungle Spice article).

If it came from acacia, then some defatting might be in order.

the oil came from acacia bark. i already defatted 3 times so im thinking the low ph brought these oils out.

i let this oil dry as much as possible then scraped it into a glass cup to dissolve in the hot naptha. about half the oil dissolved and was poured into another cup then into the freezer. the stuff that didnt dissolve was dried to an orange wax.

From the freezer a got a nice pile of clear shards. i smoked the orange wax and it was good too. the rest is dissolving in acetone to make changa.
