hey! so my cat was wondering the difference in quality of the extract of Phalaris grass V.S MHRB like potency and how clean it is. Also he would like to know your personal opinions on the extraction process of both:grin:
thanks.

peace

From what I've heard, some phalaris have gramine. Phalaris (plant) - Wikipedia (Alkaloids section)

There are some nexians dabbling in phalaris extractions, but I personally have no experience in it. Welcome to the DMT-Nexus

My educated-guess would be that MHRB is more potent; as it's known to have "jungle" spice, 0.5% to 1.0% yields and it's much more clean in that it contains no undesireables.

MHRB is also becoming scarce, mind you.

yes, thats his problem. think he might have solution but not sure, hes got his fingers crossed, well find out in a few weeks I suppose. If not hell be stuck with phalaris, but that is becoming more and more unappealing as he reads more into the subject.
:) peace.

1. there is no evidence gramine is harmful (certainly not in the minuscule quantities we ingest)
2. almost all TEKS pull either no gramine, or negligible amounts of gramine.

endlessness showed gramine to be insoluble in pet ether (naphtha) and barely soluble in room temp limonene (warming limo doesn't affect dmt solubility anyway).

presumably hordenine has identical solubility to gramine.

i am not sure if other aromatic solvents (xylene, toluene) pull them, but other aliphatics do not.

gramine/hordenine is not a viable issue with phalaris, as far as i know.

however the chemotypes can be variable and thus you may end up with a cocktail of various tryptamines and beta-carbolines, as opposed to mostly pure dmt, like you would get from mimosa

alright, but i would highly recommend you extract the dmt for your cat.

apes have paws much more suited to procedures such as these

why is that?

firstly do not question my cat. he is a cosmic kitty of destruction and creation. he has thumbs when he needs them.

second, I suppose it was mainly wild phalaris that seems un-appealing. As you have said before, growing a specific strain indoors can be a good alternative to MHRB, one I may have to turn to one day, maybe just for fun.

Theoretically DMT is DMT is DMT and it shouldn't matter what source it came from once it's purified.

So far very few of us have worked with Phalaris extract, in my personal experience with Big Medicine extracted DMT it came on slower than Mimosa extracted DMT and felt slightly more euphoric. Of course one low dose bioassay isn't really anything you can draw valid conclusions from so take it for what it's worth.

The extraction process is basically the same for both. Phalaris obviously doesn't yield as much and isn't quite so easy as a simple stb into some naphtha and precip, but it's not much more difficult.
